Gordon Bijelonic presents a wonderful production entitled “PANAMA CANAL: A Land Divided to World United.” Through the magic of 3D and IMAX cameras, audiences around the world can make an amazing journey through one of the seven wonders of the modern world, such as the “Panama Canal.”
In this film narrated by Morgan Freeman, it reveals not only its vast reach, but also its fall in the locks and mechanical operations, addressing the giants that navigate the Canal, the Panama Railroad, exploring in a native canoe, discovering the unexpected beauty of the tropical jungle and wildlife.
The film runs from the days when the conquerors crossed a waterlogged impasse to the canal excavation debacle in the nineteenth century to the achievement of American engineering that revolutionized maritime transport and tropical medicine. It is also about the present visionary, which documents the efforts made by Panama to expand the 100-year waterway to accommodate post-panamax ships. It concludes with a fusion of the old and the new of Panama, its skyscrapers, its culture, a growing economic nerve of Central America.
We invite you to enjoy this fabulous experience on Thursday, February 28, in different functions that will start from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Miraflores Locks. Tickets on sale at Panatickets.
