From Thursday February 1st to Sunday March 4th you can not miss a fabulous staging with the Play: “PANAMÁ: THE MUSICAL”, where talented and emerging artists will meet to offer a unique and excellent quality show. The event will take place in Ateneo of the City of Knowledge in the following functions:
– Tuesday to Friday at 8:30 pm
– Saturdays and Sundays at 3:00 pm and 8:30 pm
** Mondays there are no performances **
** February 10th – 14th there will be no performances during Carnival **
The musical is based on a love story, between an American composer and a Panamanian musician, which takes place in the Panama Canal Zone and Cuatro del Julio, in 1927. It has a wonderful creative team made up of Monalisa Arias, Director, Dino Nugent, Music Director, Rigo Rodriquez, Choreographer, Robert McQueen, Dramaturge (Associate Director of Mamma Mia in Broadway), David Warrack (author 66 musicals, producer of over 250 musical in NYC and the world). Written by Yolanda van der Kolk-Brown and T Rob Brown, Music and Lyrics by Tara Van Der Kolk and Yolanda van der Kolk-Brown.
“PANAMÁ: THE MUSICAL” will be the first musical of Panama written in English created to attract tourists from Canada, the United States and Europe and boost the talent of Panamanian actors. It’s being promoted in the international markets under the slogan “You haven’t seen Panama until you’ve seen PANAMÁ: THE MUSICAL”.
