Event Description:

Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC) invites you to another night of cinema inspired by art, this time the screening of the documentary “Zachrisson” by director Abner Benain, on the work of maestro Julio Zachrisson, one of the most important engraving artists in Panama whose work is part of the MAC’s collection and which is currently on display in the exhibition “Secretos de Nuestra Colección: Papel Protagonista” until March 17.

Admission is free and the screening will be on Thursday, February 28, at 7:00 p.m.

Julio Zachrisson, an 85-year-old Panamanian painter, shares a house in Madrid with his lifelong companion. After being blind, his career has come to an end. The meeting between the painter and the film crew will reveal nuances of the day to day of an artist who manages to overcome and live the present fully, while remembering memories of a very rich past. An intimate portrait, at the same time reflection and testimony, about a luminous man. An essay on old age, life together and love over time.
