ArtBox Digital is a network that builds bridges between contemporary creators of the Global South, more specifically between Africa and Latin America, in order to facilitate tools that enhance the professional development of artists and cultural entrepreneurs of both regions and ensure them a better positioning in the world stage of contemporary art.

In this presentation that will be held on Wednesday, February 27, at 7:00 pm in the CCE Casa del Soldado, the project will be announced, as well as presenting the first edition of its contest. (made at the Pan-African level in 2017) and the launch of the second edition, in which digital artists from all over Latin America will be able to participate.

With the first Africa Art Box contest, an African digital art collection was born, whose first prize (Nathan Gates, South Africa) was able to enjoy a creation residence in Plataforma Bogotá. This residence was accompanied by a laboratory with the participation of 20 Colombian artists.

In order to continue weaving networks between Africa and Latin America, generating speeches, creating thought and spaces so that new dialogues with the rest of the world are possible, ArtBox Digital announces the Second Edition of its Digital Arts Contest starting this February. 2019, in which artists from both continents may participate.
